The first page of the book: the duckling stands in a little puddle in a raincoat with buttons and pockets, holding a big umbrella with raindrops on it, and two tulips grow next to it. The duckling has a flat orange beak, little wings and webbed feet in the puddle. It is page 1 of 9 in Cozy Spring Ducklings, where every page shows a duckling on a rainy spring day — print this one or the whole book.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Color the umbrella first — one bright color, or every panel different like a rainbow.
- Sunny yellow feathers with an orange beak and orange feet are the classic duckling colors.
- Add blue ripples in the puddle so it looks wet.
