Lemon & Strawberry Wardrobe — Duck & Outfits — colored example of the coloring page in bright colors

One way to color it, in bright marker colors. Yours can look completely different: stripes, polka dots, your favorite colors. Color the doll and the clothes, then cut them out along the outline, keep the white tabs and dress the doll.

About this coloring page

This coloring page has the paper duck and pink moon-and-star pajamas, a strawberry tee with rolled denim shorts, a lemon pinafore with a gingham hem, a knit cardigan over a green floral dress, two bows and a little cream handbag — all as clean black-and-white line art with the white fold-over tabs. It is page 1 of the Lemon & Strawberry Wardrobe; page 2 has more clothes for the same duck. Color the duck and the outfits, cut along the outline and the pieces become a paper doll set.

Printing and coloring tips

Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.

Ideas for this page

  • Play "morning to bedtime": the duck goes from pajamas to a picnic dress and back into the moon nightdress.
  • Felt-tip markers give the brightest colors; put a scrap sheet underneath so they do not bleed through.
  • Colored pencils are best for the duck itself: light strokes for the body, a darker shade for the feet and beak.

Questions

Do I need page 2 as well?

Not to color this page — it has the duck and its first outfits. Page 2 of the Lemon & Strawberry Wardrobe adds more clothes for the same duck, drawn at the same size.
