Before painting, the duck sets up a still life: a bowl with an apple and a pear, and a vase with green leaves on a table with a long cloth. The easel waits behind, and rain falls on the window. A good page for explaining what a still life is.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Set up a real still life with fruit after coloring.
- Color the tablecloth with a pattern.
