School & Play Wardrobe — Duck & Outfits — colored example of the coloring page in bright colors

One way to color it, in bright marker colors. Yours can look completely different: stripes, polka dots, your favorite colors. Color the doll and the clothes, then cut them out along the outline, keep the white tabs and dress the doll.

About this coloring page

This coloring page has the yellow paper duck and a beige pinafore with a duck patch, a pink gingham pinafore with a strawberry pocket, a school uniform with a tie and a pleated skirt, a lilac teddy-bear dress, two bows and a heart-shaped bag — all as clean black-and-white line art with the white fold-over tabs. It is page 1 of the School & Play Wardrobe; page 2 has more clothes for the same duck. Color the duck and the outfits, cut along the outline and the pieces become a paper doll set.

Printing and coloring tips

Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.

Ideas for this page

  • Play school: the duck wears the uniform, packs the heart bag and goes to class.
  • Try a pattern on one outfit — stripes, polka dots or tiny hearts — and keep another one plain.
  • Leave the white tabs uncolored so you can see where to fold them.

Questions

Do I need page 2 as well?

Not to color this page — it has the duck and its first outfits. Page 2 of the School & Play Wardrobe adds more clothes for the same duck, drawn at the same size.
