The strawberries are ripe. The kitty kneels among the big leaves and drops berry after berry into a woven basket. Ripe strawberries hang all around, a butterfly flutters overhead, a bird watches from the fence and a path winds back to the shed. These berries will become jam in Part 3.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Give some berries a little white near the stem — that is how real strawberries look.
- Pick berries at a farm or buy some and taste them after coloring.
