Back in the kitchen, everything gets washed. The kitty rinses vegetables in a colander under the faucet, while bowls of strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and pears line the counter. The sun hat hangs on a hook, a towel hangs by the window and the garden is visible outside. This page links the garden to the kitchen — and leads into Part 3.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Use light blue for the water and leave white streaks for the splash.
- Talk about why we always wash fruit and vegetables before eating them.
