How to print: open the PDF and print at 100% ("actual size") on Letter or A4 paper. The page has a white margin, so nothing gets cut off.
Coloring idea

One way to color it, in bright marker colors. Yours can look completely different: stripes, polka dots, your favorite colors. Color the doll and the clothes, then cut them out along the outline, keep the white tabs and dress the doll.

About this coloring page
This coloring page has the paper doll and a rose blazer with brown trousers, a mint shirtdress with a belt, a coral dress with a Peter Pan collar, a blue polka-dot ruffled dress and a brown handbag — all as clean black-and-white line art with the white fold-over tabs. It is page 1 of the Everyday Wardrobe; page 2 has more clothes drawn to the same scale. Color the doll and the outfits, cut along the outlines and the pieces become a paper doll set.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Start here: the blouse, jeans and cardigan mix with almost every other wardrobe.
- Felt-tip markers give the brightest colors; put a scrap sheet underneath so they do not bleed through.
- Colored pencils are best for the doll herself: light strokes for the skin, a darker shade for the hair.
Questions
Do I need page 2 as well?
Not to color this page — it has the doll and her first outfits. Page 2 of the Everyday Wardrobe adds more clothes for the same doll.
