Pages in this set

These paper doll coloring pages are our printable paper doll and all eight of her wardrobes as black-and-white line art: Everyday, Summer, Seaside, Romantic, Winter Walk, Halloween Witch, 1980s and Medieval Princess Gowns. Every wardrobe has two pages — page 1 with the doll and the first outfits, page 2 with more clothes — so there are sixteen pages to color.

They print at exactly the size of our printable paper doll with clothes, so once the clothes are colored and cut out, they fit the doll — and pieces from different wardrobes mix too. It is two activities in one: a fashion coloring page first, then a dress-up toy. Every page shows a coloring idea in bright colors, but the fabric patterns are left open: florals, stripes, plaid or stars are up to whoever holds the pencils.

How to color and dress the doll

  1. Print a page at 100% (“actual size”) on Letter or A4. Light cardstock keeps the doll stiff after cutting.
  2. Color the doll and the clothes. Leave the white tabs white so they are easy to find.
  3. Cut out each piece along the outline, keeping the tabs.
  4. Dress the doll: lay an outfit on top and fold the tabs behind her.

Design your own collection

Older kids love these as fashion design sheets: color the same dress three ways and compare, give every wardrobe a color palette, or redesign the 1980s and medieval pieces in today’s colors. In class, one wardrobe makes a calm 30–45 minute activity; zip bags keep each child’s pieces together. Prefer to skip the coloring? The full-color version of the same wardrobes is in the printable paper doll post.

Questions

Is there a color version of these pages?

Yes — the same eight wardrobes in full color are in our printable paper doll post, ready to cut out without coloring. These black-and-white pages are for kids who want to choose the colors themselves.

Do the colored clothes still fit the doll?

Yes. Every coloring page prints at exactly the size of the color version, so after coloring, the clothes from any wardrobe fit the doll from any page 1.

What should I color with?

Colored pencils give the softest look on the faces, hair and fabric folds; felt-tip markers make the brightest outfits. Use light cardstock if you color with markers so they do not bleed through.
