Gentleman Wardrobe — Bear & Outfits — colored example of the coloring page in bright colors

One way to color it, in bright marker colors. Yours can look completely different: stripes, polka dots, your favorite colors. Color the doll and the clothes, then cut them out along the outline, keep the white tabs and dress the doll.

About this coloring page

This coloring page has the teddy bear boy and a navy three-piece suit with a red tie, a black tuxedo with a bow tie, a tweed jacket with a waistcoat and brown shorts, a camel coat over a red scarf, a black top hat, a spotted bow tie, a leather briefcase and a pocket watch — all as black-and-white line art with the white fold-over tabs. It is page 1 of the Gentleman Wardrobe; page 2 has six more pieces drawn to the same scale. Color the bear and the outfits, cut along the outlines and the page becomes a teddy bear paper doll.

Printing and coloring tips

Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.

Ideas for this page

  • Dress the bear for a wedding, a concert or a tea party and act it out.
  • Print the page twice and color the same outfit in two different ways, then compare them on the bear.
  • Color first, cut second: it is much easier to color the small tabs and bows while the page is still in one piece.

Questions

Do I need page 2 as well?

Not to color this page — it has the bear and the first outfits. Page 2 of the Gentleman Wardrobe adds more clothes for the same bear.
