Coloring idea

Golf Wardrobe — Bear & Outfits — colored example of the coloring page in bright colors

One way to color it, in bright marker colors. Yours can look completely different: stripes, polka dots, your favorite colors. Color the doll and the clothes, then cut them out along the outline, keep the white tabs and dress the doll.

About this coloring page

This coloring page has the teddy bear boy and an argyle sweater vest with plaid plus-fours and golf shoes, a mustard cable sweater with plaid shorts, a blue polo with navy shorts, a red cardigan with green shorts, a tweed cap, a golf bag with clubs, a single club and two golf balls — all as black-and-white line art with the white fold-over tabs. It is page 1 of the Golf Wardrobe; page 2 has six more pieces drawn to the same scale. Color the bear and the outfits, cut along the outlines and the page becomes a teddy bear paper doll.

Printing and coloring tips

Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.

Ideas for this page

  • A Father's Day idea: make a golf bear for a grandpa or dad who plays golf.
  • Felt-tip markers give the brightest colors; put a scrap sheet underneath so they do not bleed through.
  • Colored pencils are best for the bear itself: short strokes for the fur, a darker shade for the paws and ears.

Questions

Do I need page 2 as well?

Not to color this page — it has the bear and the first outfits. Page 2 of the Golf Wardrobe adds more clothes for the same bear.
