Cute Animal Paper Squishy Templates
Six free printable animal paper squishies — a cat, a duckling, a fox, a hedgehog, a bunny and a penguin — each in color, black and white and with instructions.
Pages in this set
Six little animal faces to print and squish: a tabby cat, a yellow duckling, an orange fox, a spiky hedgehog, a bunny with a carrot and a round penguin. Each design has a color template, a black-and-white version to color yourself and a one-page instruction sheet with that animal’s own pictures. Print, tape, cut, stuff and squeeze — a finished squishy takes about fifteen minutes and needs nothing but paper and clear tape.
What’s in the set
The cat, duckling, fox and hedgehog are round faces with ears, about 12–14 cm wide. The bunny and the penguin are little whole-body animals, taller than they are wide. All six are drawn in the same soft kawaii style with rosy cheeks, so a batch looks like one collection on a shelf or a classroom table.
How to make an animal paper squishy
- Print the color or the coloring template at 100% (“actual size”) on Letter or A4. The guide line should measure 2 cm.
- Tape over the printed side of both pieces with clear packing tape.
- Cut along the dotted line and keep the white border — the halves are taped together on it.
- Join the front and the back, blank sides together, with small strips of tape. Leave a 2–3 cm opening.
- Stuff loosely with cotton wool or polyester filling, then tape the opening shut.
The instruction sheet that comes with every animal shows each step with its own picture.
Ideas
- Pick a favorite: print the coloring versions and let kids color their animal in any colors — a pink fox or a rainbow hedgehog is allowed.
- Animal habitats: sort the finished squishies by where the animals live — farm, forest, pond, ice.
- Party favors: one squishy per guest, with the name written on the back before taping.

Questions
Which animal is the easiest?
The duckling and the cat: their outlines are almost round. The hedgehog and the fox take a little longer because of the spikes and the pointy ears.
How big are they?
About 12 cm (4.5–5.5 inches) across. The bunny and the penguin are taller and slimmer, the hedgehog is the widest.
Can I make a keychain?
Yes — before you seal the last edge, tape a loop of ribbon or a keyring split ring inside the top. Keep the stuffing light so it stays small and soft.
