Butter Squishy Paper Template + 6 Free Grocery Squishies
A free printable butter squishy paper template plus six grocery packs — milk, chocolate milk, cream, an egg carton, bacon and turkey slices. Color, B&W and instructions.
Pages in this set
The butter squishy is one of the most-made paper squishies of the year, so here is ours: a smiling block of butter in a folded paper wrapper, ready to print, tape and squeeze. It comes with six more fridge favorites — a milk carton, a chocolate milk carton, a cream carton, an egg carton, a bacon pack and a pack of turkey slices. Every design has a color template, a black-and-white version to color yourself and a one-page instruction sheet with its own pictures.
What’s in the set
The butter, bacon and turkey packs are wide rectangles, about 15 × 11 cm, with a face on the front and a plain pack on the back. The egg carton is a little smaller, with six brown eggs. The milk, chocolate milk and cream cartons are tall gable-top boxes that print front and back side by side on one page.
How to make a butter paper squishy
- Print the color or the coloring template at 100% (“actual size”) on Letter or A4. The guide line should measure 2 cm.
- Tape over the printed side of both pieces with clear packing tape.
- Cut along the dotted line and keep the white border — the halves are taped together on it.
- Join the front and the back, blank sides together, with small strips of tape. Leave a 2–3 cm opening.
- Stuff loosely with cotton wool or polyester filling, then tape the opening shut.
The butter is the best one to start with: straight edges, rounded corners, and it squishes like a little pillow.
Play ideas
Fill a shoe-box fridge with all seven, open a pretend grocery store with a paper cash register, or pack a breakfast tray: butter, milk and eggs. Color a strawberry butter squishy on the black-and-white template. For more food to squish, add the fruit and vegetable squishies and the kawaii food set with pizza, tacos and a donut.

Questions
Why is the butter squishy so popular?
It is the cutest everyday thing in the fridge: a soft rectangle that squishes just like a real stick of butter, with a smiling face. It is also one of the easiest shapes to cut, so it is a perfect first paper squishy.
How big are they?
The butter, bacon and turkey packs are about 15 × 11 cm, the egg carton is about 12 cm, and the three cartons are about 9 × 11–12 cm and print front and back side by side.
Can I make a strawberry butter squishy?
Yes — print the black-and-white butter template and color the butter pink and the band red, then add little strawberries on the wrapper.
