Fruit & Vegetable Paper Squishy Templates: 11 Free Printables
Eleven free fruit and vegetable paper squishies — an apple, a pear, berry packs, a carrot, broccoli, a tomato and more — in color, black and white and with instructions.
Pages in this set
Eleven little fruits and vegetables to print and squish: a red apple, a pear, a strawberry pack, a blueberry pack, a tomato, a carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, a cucumber, an onion and a red bell pepper. Every design has a color template, a black-and-white version to color yourself and a one-page instruction sheet with its own pictures. A finished squishy takes about fifteen minutes and needs nothing but paper, clear tape and a little stuffing.
What’s in the set
Nine designs are whole fruits and vegetables with kawaii faces on the front and the plain fruit on the back. The strawberry and blueberry packs are clear grocery punnets with a smiling label, and a barcode sticker on the back. Most pieces are about 12 cm across; the pear, the carrot and the cucumber are taller and print front and back side by side on one page.
How to make a fruit paper squishy
- Print the color or the coloring template at 100% (“actual size”) on Letter or A4. The guide line should measure 2 cm.
- Tape over the printed side of both pieces with clear packing tape.
- Cut along the dotted line and keep the white border — the halves are taped together on it.
- Join the front and the back, blank sides together, with small strips of tape. Leave a 2–3 cm opening.
- Stuff loosely with cotton wool or polyester filling, then tape the opening shut.
The instruction sheet that comes with every design shows each step with its own picture.
Play ideas
Set up a farmers’ market stall with a paper sign and pretend money, sort the squishies into fruits and vegetables, or make a rainbow by color. With the butter, milk and egg carton squishies and the kawaii food squishies you can fill a whole pretend grocery store. For a classroom, print the coloring versions — every child colors their own vegetable.

Questions
Which one is the easiest?
The apple, the tomato and the blueberry pack: round or rectangular outlines with nothing thin to cut around. The carrot and the cucumber are tall and slim, so stuff them gently.
How big are they?
About 11–13 cm across. The carrot (16 cm) and the cucumber (17.5 cm) are taller and print front and back side by side on one page.
Can I use them in a lesson about healthy food?
Yes — make a squishy "rainbow plate": one red, one orange, one yellow, one green, then sort them into fruits and vegetables. The coloring versions work for this too.
