Strawberry Soda Can Paper Squishy Template
A free printable paper squishy soda can: a strawberry soda net that rolls into a real 3D can, in color and black and white, with a step-by-step guide.
Pages in this set
This paper squishy soda can is a little different from our flat squishies: it is a 3D net that rolls into a real can. Print the strawberry soda label with its tabs, tape it, roll it into a tube, close it with the top lid and the bottom circle, and fill it with a little stuffing. The finished can is 5.6 cm across and 10.5 cm tall — about the size of a mini soda can — and it squishes when you squeeze it.
The download comes as a color net, a black-and-white net to color yourself (any flavor you like) and an assembly guide with six steps. The net keeps its exact size on the page, so print it at 100%.
How to make the soda can
- Print the color or the black-and-white net at 100% (“actual size”) on Letter or A4 and check the 2 cm guide.
- Tape the printed side with clear tape, then cut the wall with all its tabs and both circles on the solid lines.
- Roll the wall into a tube: fold the side seam inward and tape the 8 mm flap inside.
- Bottom: fold the lower tabs in at the dashed line and tape the BOTTOM circle onto them, picture out.
- Fill with a little stuffing, fold the upper tabs in and tape the TOP circle on.
- Seal both rims with short strips of tape and squeeze.
Ideas
- New flavors: color the black-and-white can as grape, lemon, cola or blueberry soda and line them up like a shop shelf.
- Play café: pair it with our food squishies for a pretend snack bar.
- Summer craft: a good rainy-day project for older kids who have already made flat squishies.

Questions
Is it harder than a flat squishy?
A little. Rolling the tube and taping the circles onto the tabs takes about 30 minutes the first time — best for ages 8 and up, or younger kids with a grown-up.
Why must I print at 100%?
The circles have to match the tube exactly. Print at 100% / actual size and check that the guide line measures 2 cm before you cut.
Can I use glue instead of tape?
Yes, a glue stick works on the tabs. Still cover the printed side with clear tape first — that is what makes it squishy and shiny.
