Astronauts are also mechanics. Tethered to the station, the kitty floats next to a round satellite with two solar panels and a dish antenna and tightens a bolt with a wrench, holding an open toolbox in the other paw. Stars fill the sky and a big planet curves along the bottom. The solar panels are made of neat squares — a good pattern for careful coloring.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Color the solar panels dark blue with light lines between the squares.
- Talk about what satellites do: weather, maps, TV and phones.
