Astronaut Coloring Pages: Planet Explorer

Part 2 of Space Adventures follows our kitty astronaut across a new planet. The kitty drives a moon rover, fills a crate with glowing crystals with a robot buddy, sleeps in a cozy capsule, fixes a satellite in orbit, flips pancakes in the space kitchen, explores a valley of giant crystals and finally lands back home, where friends wait with flowers.

Astronaut life, page by page

These seven astronaut coloring pages show a day in the life of a space explorer — working, eating, sleeping and exploring — which makes them good for “what do astronauts do?” lessons. Every page has a thick outline and big main shapes, with crystals, tools and stars for kids who like more detail.

Ideas for using these pages

• Astronaut day: color one page for each part of an astronaut’s day: work, eat, sleep, explore.
• Science corner: pair Fixing the Satellite with a picture of a real satellite and talk about what it does.
• A happy ending: Coming Home is a nice last page for a space unit or a goodbye-to-camp folder.

Each page has its own download. Complete Part 2 has the cover and all seven pages in one file.
