Now with a new friend, the kitty spreads the treasure map on a big tree stump and points at the route: past the palm trees, over the mountains to a waterfall. The sea turtle, the parrot and the crab gather around to look, a hut stands among the trees behind them and hibiscus flowers grow in front. The map itself is fun to color with blue water and green islands.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Color the map like old paper — light tan with a brown edge.
- Draw your own treasure map of your house or yard on the back.
