View allAbout this coloring page
Before any cooking starts, the kitty sits down with a pencil and draws the menu on a big sheet of paper: a roast turkey on a platter and a layered cake topped with little carrots. The kitchen around is full of fall things — a pumpkin, a basket with carrots and apples, a jar of spoons and whisks, checked towels and a window with falling leaves. This page connects nicely with Part 2, where the kitty actually cooks both dishes.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Ask kids what they would put on their own Thanksgiving menu and draw it on the back of the page.
- Color the turkey and cake on the menu now, then compare them with the "real" ones in Part 2.
