The kitty rolls little balls of dough and lines them up on a baking tray. A big bowl of dough, a rolling pin, a flour jar with a wheat label and a sprinkle of flour cover the counter, while spoons, a spatula and an oven mitt hang on the wall. The round rolls are perfect for small hands — each one is a separate shape to color golden.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Color each roll a slightly different shade of tan and gold — like real rolls coming out of the oven.
- Count the rolls on the tray and on the bowl together before coloring.
Questions
What colors should I use for bread?
Yellow ochre, light brown and a touch of orange on top look like baked bread. Leave a little white for shine.
