The carrot cake starts here. The kitty grates a carrot on a tall box grater straight into a big bowl, with more carrots waiting on a checked towel, a small bowl of eggs, a whisk and a flour jar with a leaf label. A window full of autumn trees and a jug of berries complete the scene. The grater holes and the checked towel are nice details for older kids.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Use bright orange for the carrots and a darker orange for the grated pieces in the bowl.
- Follow the cake through the story: Mixing the Batter, then Decorating the Carrot Cake, then Carrot Cake for Dessert in Part 3.
