View allAbout this coloring page
Every good garden starts with a plan. The kitty, in a sun hat and overalls with a leaf on the bib, sits at a wooden table and draws the garden beds on a big sheet of paper. Seed packets with a carrot, a tomato and a strawberry lie in front, next to a notebook, a trowel and a basket, while a watering can, an apple tree, a little shed and a bird on the fence complete the scene.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Draw your own garden plan on the back: what would you grow?
- Color the seed packets with the color of each vegetable — orange, red, pink.
Questions
Is this a good first page for little kids?
Yes. The kitty and the table are big, simple shapes, and the seed packets are easy to recognize.
