Some vegetables grow straight from seed. The kitty holds a carrot seed packet and drops seeds one by one into straight rows in the raised bed. A bowl of seeds and a small hand fork sit on the edge, another seed packet with a beet is pinned at the end of the row, and a bird watches from the apple tree. The dotted rows make a nice pattern to color.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Count the seeds in each row before coloring.
- Try sowing fast-growing seeds like radish or cress at home and watch them sprout in a few days.
