View allAbout this coloring page
The plants are growing tall, so they need support. The kitty kneels by a young tomato plant and ties it to a wooden stake with string. A trowel and a watering can lean against the fence, an empty flower pot sits on the ground, and the apple tree and the shed stand behind. It closes Part 1 — next comes the harvest.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Color the string a bright color so it is easy to see.
- Explain why tall plants need stakes: so the wind does not break them.
