About this coloring page

The seeds have sprouted. On a sunny day the kitty waters rows of tiny green shoots with a watering can, droplets falling onto the bed. A friendly snail crawls along the stepping-stone path, the shed and a pot of flowers stand behind, and the sun shines over everything. It is one of the brightest, happiest pages in the book.

Printing and coloring tips

Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.

Ideas for this page

  • Use light blue for the water drops and leave a little white in each.
  • Find the snail and give its shell a spiral of colors.
