The adventure begins with a launch. A big rocket with fins and a flame trail rises out of puffy clouds, and through its round window we see the kitty astronaut at the controls. Around the rocket float a ringed planet, a crescent moon, a few round asteroids, Earth peeking in from the corner and lots of stars. The rocket is one large shape, so it is easy for preschoolers, and the stars are perfect for little ones who like to fill small spaces.
Printing and coloring tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. Plain 80–100 gsm copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils; for markers, use thicker paper or put a scrap sheet underneath so the ink doesn't bleed through. Detailed scenes like this one are easier with fine-tip markers or sharpened pencils.
Ideas for this page
- Color the flame in three layers — yellow inside, orange, then red on the outside.
- Count the stars before you start and give each one a different color.
