About this design

Page 1 has the bear, a rust coat dress with leaf pockets and a plaid scarf, a burgundy cardigan over a floral dress, a green quilted jacket over a mustard dress, a yellow coat with acorn pockets, a floral headscarf, a green beret and a brown satchel. Page 2 adds a cream sweater with a plaid skirt, a blue coat dress with a plaid scarf, a rust corduroy pinafore, a green capelet over a mustard plaid dress, a rose cardigan over a burgundy floral dress and a brown coat with a pink scarf.

How to make it

Print both pages at 100%. Cut out the doll first and glue it onto a piece of cereal-box card if you printed on plain paper. Cut out each outfit along its outline, keeping the white tabs; put it on the doll and fold the tabs behind the shoulders and sides. Store the clothes in an envelope or a zip bag so nothing gets lost.

Ideas for this page

  • A perfect October activity: dress the bear for a walk in the leaves after a real one.
  • Pair the beret and satchel with the Vintage dresses for a back-to-school look.
  • Collect a few real fallen leaves and glue them around the finished bear for a fall display.

Questions

Which outfit has the most layers?

The green capelet on page 2 sits over a mustard plaid dress — it is drawn as one piece, so it still goes on with four tabs.
