How to print: print both pages at 100% ("actual size") on Letter or A4, so the clothes fit the doll. Cardstock (65 lb / 176 gsm) keeps the doll standing; clothes are fine on regular paper.

About this design

Page 1 has the bear in a cream lace romper, a pink floral dress with an embroidered apron, a blue gingham dress with a big bow, a sage dress with a flowered apron, a yellow floral dress with a pink sash, a floral headscarf, a lace bonnet and a little wicker basket. Page 2 adds a lilac dress with a bow, a peach dress with an apron, a blue and cream floral dress, a pink gingham dress with heart pockets, a yellow button-front dress and a green floral dress with an apron.

How to make it

Print both pages at 100%. Cut out the doll first and glue it onto a piece of cereal-box card if you printed on plain paper. Cut out each outfit along its outline, keeping the white tabs; put it on the doll and fold the tabs behind the shoulders and sides. Store the clothes in an envelope or a zip bag so nothing gets lost.

Ideas for this page

  • Start here: the bear on page 1 is the same in every wardrobe, so this page doubles as the base for all seven sets.
  • The bonnet and basket turn any dress into a picnic outfit — try them with the Beach Day clothes.
  • Read a teddy bear picnic story, then let kids dress the bear for it.

Questions

Which wardrobe should I print first?

This one or Autumn Walk. The vintage dresses are the easiest pieces to cut — simple outlines with no trousers — so they are a good first set for younger kids.
