About this design

Page 1 has the bear, a sailor top with a red neckerchief and denim shorts, a striped tee with red shorts and a rope belt, a blue cardigan with khaki shorts, a yellow rain jacket with navy shorts, a captain's hat, binoculars, a life ring and a striped tote. Page 2 adds a blue sailor shirt with cream shorts, a red striped polo with navy shorts, a navy pea coat over a striped tee, a cream cricket sweater with red shorts, a green jacket with a sailboat and an orange life vest.

How to make it

Print both pages at 100%. Cut out the doll first and glue it onto a piece of cereal-box card if you printed on plain paper. Cut out each outfit along its outline, keeping the white tabs; put it on the doll and fold the tabs behind the shoulders and sides. Store the clothes in an envelope or a zip bag so nothing gets lost.

Ideas for this page

  • Fold a paper boat and take the bear on a voyage across the kitchen table.
  • Make a matching crew with the girl bear's Boat Trip Wardrobe.
  • A summer camp activity: one wardrobe per child, then a sailor parade.

Questions

Is it a summer set?

Mostly, but the pea coat, rain jacket and cardigan make it work for a windy spring or fall day at the sea too.
