About this design

Page 1 has the bear, a yellow rain jacket with green trousers and blue rain boots, a green cardigan over a gingham shirt, a denim jacket with khaki shorts, a beige jacket with a peach shirt and blue shorts, a blue cap, a green backpack, a yellow umbrella and a gingham neckerchief. Page 2 adds a blue sweater with khaki shorts, a green hooded jacket with yellow rain boots, a peach plaid shirt with suspenders, a yellow cardigan with a daisy, denim overalls over a floral shirt and a green jacket with a peach shirt.

How to make it

Print both pages at 100%. Cut out the doll first and glue it onto a piece of cereal-box card if you printed on plain paper. Cut out each outfit along its outline, keeping the white tabs; put it on the doll and fold the tabs behind the shoulders and sides. Store the clothes in an envelope or a zip bag so nothing gets lost.

Ideas for this page

  • Perfect for an April weather lesson: rain boots and an umbrella for showers, a cardigan for sunny days.
  • Use the coloring version to draw your own spring flowers on the jackets.
  • An Easter basket idea: tuck a printed bear and one wardrobe inside.

Questions

Can the bear hold the umbrella?

Tuck the umbrella handle behind his paw with a tiny dot of removable putty and it stays put.
